Read moreThis refreshing treatment involves more than just your skin. It starts with an invigorating brush massage and ends with a calming massage. The benefits are from head to toe and inside-out as we brush away your stress, speed new skin growth, assist your immune system, moisturize and hydrate, and gently massage the stress out of tight muscles. If you are looking for lasting benefits without too much fuss, enjoy a lighter form of massage, or perhaps prefer a shorter spa experience, then this is the treatment for you. We start with helping you choose your aromatic experience, whether you prefer something calming, balancing or energizing. Your therapist will explain the steps and products used and will answer any of your questions. Similar to a therapeutic massage, you lie on a heated table covered by soft sheets and a blanket. Your feet, legs, back and arms are exfoliated and massaged with your dry brush (abdomen is optional). You know you’re starting to relax as a deep breath makes you aware of your chosen aroma. With small circular motions and then longer sweeps, the brush cleans out your pores, gently removing dead skin cells, and flushing the lymph and blood. This movement towards the heart and the light pressure of the brush is what boosts your immune system to remove toxins. Your therapist leaves you to dress in dry towels and then guides you to a steam room for 5-10 minutes. The steam will further increase your circulation, toxins are sweated out, and your muscles will unwind. Now that your pores are open, we complete the treatment with a gentle massage using the hydrating formula combined with your essential oil. He studied Thai Massage with Pejman Ayoubzadeh at The Academy of Traditional Thai Massage and became a Registered Reflexology Practitioner (RRpr) through the Ontario College of Reflexology (www.ocr.edu/). John also graduated from Trent University with a B.A. degree in Anthropology and Development Studies.
